Laurel & Hardy - Going Bye Bye (1934)
Stan and Ollie give evidence which convicts vicious gangster Butch (Walter Long). They plan to leave town and advertise for a travelling companion to share expenses. Butch's girl (Mae Busch) replies to the advert and the boys come to collect her. Butch meanwhile has escaped and when the boys finally succeed in freeing him from a trunk he exacts a terrible revenge.

Laurel & Hardy - Helpmates (1932)
Oliver’s house is in a shambles after a wild party, and his wife is due home at noon. He calls Stanley to help him fix the place up, and the typical catastrophies ensue. Somehow, however, Stanley manages to complete the job by the time Oliver leaves to pick up his wife at the train station. As a finishing touch, Stan decides to start a nice fire in the fireplace, using a can of gasoline to hurry the process along.

Laurel & Hardy - The Midnight Patrol (1933)
Novice policemen Stanley and Oliver, eating lunch in their patrol car, nearly have their spare tire stolen by a thief and his sassy partner. They then miss the broadcast address of a burglary in progress, and Stanley borrows the phone in a jewelry store to call the station, mistaking the safecracker inside for the shop's owner. The boys eventually manage to catch the apparent burglar and bring him back to the station, only to find it's really the police chief, who'd been locked out of his house. The chief exacts a rather dire revenge upon the two rookie cops.

Laurel & Hardy - The Fixer Uppers (1935)
Door-to-door greeting card salesmen Stanley and Oliver call upon Mrs. Pierre Gustave, a woman distraught over her husband's neglect. They agree to her plan to reclaim her husband's affection by making him jealous. But when Gustave arrives and finds his wife and Oliver in a tight embrace, he presents Oliver with his card and challenges him to a duel. The boys escape, but get drunk and pass out at a local cafe, and are returned to Gustave's apartment when the police find Gustave's card in Oliver's pocket. They awake (in Mrs. Gustave's bed) to find the enraged husband, pistol in hand.

Laurel & Hardy - Tit for Tat (1935)

Stan & Ollie have set up their own electrical repair store. Unfortunately, for them, the grocery store opposite is run by the man & wife they encountered with in Them Thar Hills (1935). Stan & Ollie go and visit, to offer the hand of friendship, but the grocer soon becomes convinved that Ollie is trying to seduce his wife. The grocer takes his revenge first upon Stan & Ollie and then upon the goods in their shop, with the duo carrying out similar attacks on the grocer and his property.

Laurel & Hardy - Them Thar Hills 1934
This film creates a wonderful sense of anticipation -- gout-ridden Hardy and his friend Laurel hire a trailer to head for the mountains, so Hardy can recuperate. They set up camp near a water well into which bootleggers have dumped their alcohol. When the bos start sipping from the enriched water, they get very merry. Charlie Hall and his wife Mae Busch drop in after their car breaks down. Charlie goes off to get gasoline, and Mae stays to enjoy the hospitality which includes lots of well water! When Charlie returns, he finds Mae intoxicated and having a great time with Stan and Ollie. A battle ensues resulting in the total destruction of the campsite -- and the well, after a match is dropped into it.

Laurel & Hardy - Night Owls
After getting lambasted by the Police Chief for the 42 unsolved robberies committed on his watch, Officer Kennedy bamboozles vagrants Stanley and Oliver into a plan to recover his reputation, in exchange for not jailing them for sleeping on park benches. Kennedy sets them to burgling the Police Chief’s own house, planning to arrest them in front of his boss, and later “fixing it” for the boys.

Laurel & Hardy - Perfect Day
Plans for a nice Sunday picnic seemed doomed even before Stanley and Oliver and their families get into the car. First the boys get into a fight and destroy all the sandwiches. Then the car itself keeps acting up, requiring repeated exits and reboardings by the boys, their wives and grouchy, gout-ridden Uncle Edgar. A brick-throwing tiff with a neighbor threatens to escalate into general mayhem until the local parson strolls by. They finally manage to get underway, steering toward an innocent-looking mud puddle in the street
