Laurel & Hardy - Big Business
This shortie is a sterling example of the comic duo's classic art, accompanied by organ music with narration and dialog spliced in using "titles". Stan and Ollie are selling Christmas trees in southern California, and business is slow. A simple argument with perennially-feisty James Finlayson escalates into full-scale mayhem, with Stan & Ollie destroying Finlayson's house and garden while a frenzied Finlayson reduces their car to scrap metal. The fracas is witnessed at first by a frightened crowd of neighbors and finally by a policeman, who stands by calmly taking notes.
